Knicked for speeding :(
« on: April 29, 2011, 11:30:30 AM »
Went out for a spin earlly yesterday, was cold so stopped at llandovery for brekkie, had planned on heading up to Builth but as it was cold, i towards Brecon, then down the A470 to head to Riders/Bevans/Thunderoad to nose for a new bike.
On the A40 between Halfway and Trecastle theres a disused services on the straight in Llywel, i had caught something up, plodding along about 65/70 as i was nobbled, cleared the junctions then squirted round the car, slowed again, slowed to 40 to enter Trecastle, came out of the village, back up to 60, heard sirens, seen a blue unmarked Volvo behind me, so pulled over.
He showed me the radar gun showing 86 mph, explained that it was court :no
Just what i need at the mo

Bikes don't leak oil',.... they mark their territory :o)           Sometimes it takes a whole tankful of fuel before you can think straight. Growing old is manditory... but growing up...well that my friends...is OPTIONAL!

That sucks. I was taught to overtake cars as swiftly as possible to minimise the amount of time spent on the opposing carriageway. A twist of the wrist can take you from 50 to 70 in a second, providing you didn't carry on riding at your overtaking speed i'd have thought it was obvious to any officer that you were minimizing the danger you were in by performing a swift overtake.

Grrr... :( if it was in a 30 zone, somewhat understandable but nsl... Grrr

It was in the 60 zone
The only good thing was that he let me off with a warning about my small plate, ordered an 8 x 6 already
