Ford Mondeo unmarked in BEIGE at J33 today

Coming off the Ely link road today to join the M4 at Junction 33 and on the roundabout there was a black volvo which I'd already spotted was an unmarked police car BLOCKING THE INSIDE LANE just parked up..........

He's not exactly going to get pulled parked there is he?

I pass the volvo and then hear a siren behind me and it's a BEIGE Mondeo with lights flashing.
I pulled over to let him past and breathed a sigh of relief as he shot off up towards the link road.

Never seen one like this before.  REALLY hard to spot

I always thought good policing was prevention, not hiding and getting the crooks after the crime. 

Ahh of course, they don't make any money if they prevent crime by being visible.  So if they hide, stand by and watch, then arrest, they get loads of cash!

Problem is the police are measured and targeted on detected and solved crimes (crooks in cuffs & tickets issued)

I doubt they can quantify prevented crimes that may or may not of happened.

Get the reporting structure changed... get better policing

Nice spot tho pope - we need a single post with nothing but make, model and reg of all spotted unmarked units as we are getting quite a few now  -STIG... spin some web magic
