Better late than never... Mumbles Road -Swansea
« on: March 02, 2010, 10:51:04 AM »
On Sunday, when the big bright thingy was in the sky :scratch, I spotted a big blur of high vis parked by the playing fields on the Mumbles roads near the junction with Sketty Lane.

On closer inspection it was a bike cop with his hand held. seeing as I had an ice cream, I decided to sit on the grass on the otherside of the road and watch him for a bit. It was at this point I realised he was only lifting his hand held when a bike came towards him.  :handjob

Never seen plod on this stretch of road before, so keep your eyes peeld this spring!

I have this sneaking feeling that there may be a big push on this year to target bikers, and this is the plod not the tossers in the vans.  I think they may be trying to get a few high-end speeders into court to make an example of them like that poor sod in Scotland.  I don’t know, just call me paranoid but there seems to have been quite a few reports like this already this year. Once they start to bring the NSL down to 50 on A roads we are all f**ked. Maybe TW is right! :shocked
If you believe that load of old bollocks..........

there was a bike cop sitting pretty with a handheld at the top end of fabian way /m4 slip road this morning - just where there is an irresistable long stretch of road :tt could be they're targetting the main routes in/out of swansea

Ive emailed & invited South Wales Police to come on & post there views on WB
as of today I've still had no reply.
It would be nice to have their views on motorcycling in Wales & maybe they teach us a thing or two about riding techniques to make us safer riders.

I get the feeling I'm repeating myself  :scratch

yup, he's there quite often. Pass the wreck daily and there's often cameras picking on lanes in both directions
