just for the sake of the youngsters its not a NEW LAW( and certainly not this government introduced it so lets not blame con/libs for every thing that is happening) its been in existance for a long time and has been used since the 60,s at least.but somebody has sucessfully appealed before now .

Loginthe case of R v Glendinning would strongly suggest that this prosecution was incorrect. Have they simply ignored it or do they know about it?
The Glendinning case demands that the prosecution need to show not only that the actions of a driver flashing etc were not only intended to slow drivers down, but actually slowed down a motorist who would otherwise have speeded past the laser or radar. In the absence of this evidence, the offence of obstruction can not be proved
also In 1910 a test case established that a patrolman signalling a driver to reduce speed in order to avoid a police speed trap was obstructing an officer.
The AA then developed a coded warning system that lasted until the 1960s. A patrolman (pictured) would salute the driver of a car displaying an AA badge, except in the presence of an approaching speed trap.
