For the folks that head to Llandovery off Crosshands roundabout , They have replaced the speed camera 5 mins up the road from the roundabout next to the Pheonix pub in gorslas with one of these new ones .

They have just replaced the old existing ones though, and those have been in place for a good few years.
Without a radar detector, you could not tell if they were on or not, so I always assumed they were. Now there is no need to assume. ;-)

In fact I was coming up to the one outside Wickes on Carmarthen Rd heading to Fforestfach the other night and a car in front was flashed, but I swear that the car was not going over 40 as I was doing 40 and I was catching the car up. Perhaps they have calibration problems.?

Dangerous hotspots. Who are they trying to kid. Those locations were already well known for cameras and I doubt were blackspots. Money well spent again....

The speed camera on Camarthen Road heading from Cwmfelin Medical Centre to junction for A483 High St etc routinely flashes people at 30mph. I always pass it at 25 as do many others who have seen it flash more often than Katie Perry.

i got flashed by this camera a few months ago, i was coming out of junction joining carmarthen road...so it flashed me travelling diagonally across the camera doing about 20mph on the bandit...crazy!!!

Aye it is the one that's been there for many years, you would be surprised the amount of people it has caught and people didnt used to see it as the council always "forgot " to clear the sign warning of the camera for ages until someone complained about it..................odd that innit........and people dont realise its there until too late because of where its positioned, your too busy reading the road ahead, which is five roads crossraods to noticed the bloody thing til it catches you...............
