2011 cbr600f
« on: July 22, 2011, 10:48:23 AM »
hi guys I'm seriously thinking of buying the new Honda cbr600f as my 1st big bike has any one got one yet and if so what is it like? i went to thunderoad a few weeks ago to have a look it looks good in black but they didn't have 1 to test ride. i can test ride 1 at Fowler's but laid up at the mo with a slipped disc so wont be doing any riding for a while. any info from someone who's lives with the bike will be appreciated.

I've owned 2 CBRf's. Really liked them both. Very comfortable and enough power to get you out of trouble when needed. Great for touring on and would cruise nicely. I used to commute daily on both and they were fine with good mpg. I had a '94 and a '00 model and the difference between the 2 was incredible. The '94 had a lead frame it felt like but very planted and sturdy. The '00 was I think the first of the ally frames and so was much lighter and handling was great. I can only imagine now that 11 years on its an even better bike!

But, I got bored. Touring isnt something I really do and I stopped commuting so I traded in after a 10 months for the ZX6 which I still have have! So I guess it depends on what style of riding you'll be doing now and in the future!

thanks for the advise ninja warrior i am looking to be doing a little bit of touring and i will av the wife or my son with me so seat comfort will be essential but i still want a sporty look and to be able to have a little fun when I'm on my own so i think it ticks all the boxes. I'm just gunna av to take one for a test ride asap.
