How long should rear tyres last
« on: July 01, 2011, 07:13:42 PM »
Evening Chaps and Chapesses :party i hope we are all well and enjoying this gorgeous biking weather.  as a newbie  :old i have a question, I have a YBR 125 which i have had from new, and since feb i have done about 2600 miles, mostly commuting to and from work, to my g.f's and the odd blat to Porthcawl, Aberavon or Mumbles  :devil. so nothing strenuous.  i have notice that they are on the limit and will need changing quite soon, so i wanted to know, is this about average mileage for a tyre to last, they are chengshin 90/90-18's .  also, whats rubber would you proffesional types recommend  :group_hug

cheers peoples,

Larry

Bought my ybr 125 new and part ex at 1900 miles. Tyres looked as new (mind, I did push it more than ride it as it scared me shitless at first!) got pirelli angels on the bandit and get approx 6000 miles. couple of threads on this site about tyres.
