Bridgestone BT023
« on: September 19, 2010, 11:14:21 PM »
Just done a couple of days on BT023's on the Fazer 190/50 and a 120/70, they seem to be ok though a huge change from the avons beforehand, the front profile is much steeper on the bt's so it turns quicker also the tread on the rear goes almost right to the edge of the tyre on the bt's giving confidence in the rain , they seemed to do the trick today in the wet over penderyn, anyway the bridgestone man asked me to record the mileage i get out of them so in case i forget my mileage was 12860 when they were put on, early days yet but i'll see how they go.

I've just stuck a set on to.  Only really done one trip on them but I have to say they feel better than the Pilot Road 2s I had on previously.  The whole bike feels more planted, and I don't get that odd feeling that the back end is crabbing away from me all the time.

They seem to be so confidence inspiring that by the time I got to Pembrey on Saturday, a trip I was using to scrub them in, I had used every inch of the tyre without really realising I had been cornering that hard.

Looking good so far, will be interesting to see how well they wear (pllleeeeease last a long time!)

Didn't they do a 190/55 section instead of a 50?

I know most manufacturers use 55 now

pop they tend not to supply a 55 profile on the 190 in touring rubber, only the sports rubber like the 016

Just had the 023's fitted to mine 2 weeks ago and went over Exmoor and up to Lynmouth to scrub them in, what a difference compared to the road pilot's. Very smooth  :thumb_up
Bampy was not amused, every patch of horse crap i went through got flung all over him  :rofl
And i must say the B3224 and the B3223 up to Lynton and Lynmouth are cracking roads.
Shame about the M5 to Taunton to get there.  :thumb_up

i dropped the pressure in them a bit just to see how they were so instead of 42 and 36 i was running 40 and 34 and they felt much better somehow . I cant fault these tyres at all yet and i reckon there will be a fair bit of mileage out of them. after 3 runs out the avons would start showing signs of wear but these 023's still look like new

ive had no issues with them at all they are just over 3000 miles old now and still looking tidy. they are however a different profile shape to the avon sports i was using and also i have changed the fork springs on my bike so everything has felt a bit different but they seem to be a good tyre if you can get past the expense of bridgestone  :eek
