bridgestone 0-23's

After the experience had using the crap Bridgestone 021's on my Blackbird, wore out after less than 1800 miles especially the front, WORSE TYRES BRIDGESTON EVER MADE.
I said that I would never buy any more Bridgestones, but a race school buddy said he had some spare 023's that had only done a few laps on a CBR 600RR track bike, I decided to take up his offer to buy them at less than half original cost, I agreed to try them. The centre of both tyres were original tread depth, with only the extream outside R.H. edge with any wear. I'm pleased to say after putting 2k plus on them, so far they are not far off the tread depth as to when I first put them on.
A company as big as Bridgestone must have realiased, something had to be done, at possible loss of their reputation, because they did not take long to bring on the 0-23's.
The 23's I must say are proving their value in compound mixture, tread pattern and profile, giving me a confident corner attack, combined with a much better overall ride
especially on poor road surfaces. On a heavy bike like the CBR XX they offer a GT fitment, front tyre, its a different tread pattern and softer compound than standard, suppose to give a better overall ride.
They are not the cheapest of tyres but if they prove as good as I have found so far I think I will stick with them, the ride improvement, better wear factor, have renewed my faith in Bridgestone, pity they did not put their hands up and admit failure with the 21's but like all producers, THEY NEVER DO THAT DO THEY!

My 023's are great even in the rain they feel so confident.
021's nothing good to say about them front went before back and was distorted.

Some great comments, but I do agree tyre choice is very much down to the riders needs, the type of bike plays a big part in the right fitment and make.
But other factors also play their part such as upgraded suspension from factory parts,
the correct pressures, weight of rider, suspension set up. I would rather spend money in the area of suspension as everyone knows it will transform the bike if its done right, and make a big difference to the ride enjoyment and tyre wear.
I remember TT rider Paul Owen, raced a standard Yam R1 apart from tyres and new Maxton rear sus. finish 13th a few years ago, not bad considering he was up against the best.

Hmmmm perhaps the 021's where shit on bigger cc machines.
I had an SV1000 and after a set of Avon viper's lasting around 1500 miles opted for the 021's as I had used these tyres before on 600's and they where great.
On the SV though, they where shit. The front even went on me once
Both the ninja's are fitted with 023's at the moment though and they're great
