If this is Kevin Thomas in Cwmbach, just outside Aberdare, I've heard some mixed reviews. I've only ever needed small stuff, and he's been great to me, but I'm in a bike club, and a few of the boys there have had some problems. Nothing major that I'm aware of, but he can be slow getting parts in and getting work done.

As always though, you only ever hear the bad stuff. People don't tend to share their good experiences. I'll ask my mate if he can post a review, as he's been riding longer than I have, and he's used Kevin a lot more :)

Seems quite a friendly place, however, I was looking for some motrax stuff,  Said he would order it and call me  Never happened..  so just a waste of time really. Looked at his bikes, he's changed make again from one chinese to another because they had trouble with the other lot.  Pleased I didnot buy any then!

As I said he's friendly but not sure what to make of it all.
Smile ...   I know its a scooter...  but it's  fast enough and I can carry all my shopping....  under my saddle.  I like my comforts.

Had a word with my mate last night, and he said that he doesn't want to write a review, as he wouldn't feel comfortable writing anything bad, and only writing his good experiences would defeat the object of the review  :tt

I will write a review for your friend.

I have visited the new small shop a few times as it's local to me, the guy is an absolute joke, full of promises never ever gets the job done on time.

I took a bike in on a Friday he said he would do it the same day or Saturday. After not receiving a phone call by TUESDAY I called into the shop to find my bike in the same place it hadn't been touched. He then told me it would be done the next day once again no phone call so I went back to the shop, still nothing done, after a few words he said he would start the job there and then and it would be done that day. Once again I did not hear back so I called back up the following day to my amazement the job had been done. But to later find out he had made a part up himself rather than order 1 in. The part he made did not work it leaked worse than when I took it too him. So I went back to the shop, he said it will be ok for a few days until he orders a new part, he took my number again and I never heard back off him.

Also I would like to say the last time I was there a guy was in front of me there complaining that Kevin had had his bike in for weeks and nothing had been done. So it makes me think it wasn't just me who had a problem.

I wouldnt give the place 2 out of 10

Full of promises.....   full of s##t.

That was a few years ago.  I had several bikes that I asked him to do the servicing and repairs for. He made promise after promise.  He made 'definite' appointments after promising to come and collect the bikes from me but he never showed up, and never showed up, and never showed up.........

When I rang him (after no reply several times)  at the time he was due to meet me, his young son answered the phone but refused to put Kevin on.  He said 'He's in the bath'.

I haven't wasted my time with him since.

I used to be a regular customer. Last time I payed Kevin Thomas a visit was when I required him to put my new front tyre on the correct way as the rotation arrow was pointing backwards. At first he tried to blame his assistant but later said "even the best make mistakes". He also charged me £30 more than another nearby dealer would have for the same tyres.  He also sold me a drive chain which was replaced elsewhere after 2000 miles, this was on a cb500 too! I have heard other bikers claim he f'ed their bikes up too. Kevin thomas is a right useless fart.
Dai Ling Ping.
So what would happened if I drive faster than the speed of light and turn on my headlight?
You know youve been caught speeding when the photo of your bike has motion blurr.
