I'd trust Maxxis tyres...........
on my mountain bike
Just kidding I've not used them. But have heard they're similar to Avon Viper Extremes.
If you're using them on the road they'll be fab

Anybody who's got them can you confirm the wear rate? I've heard there pretty soft and don't last very long.

Have had them on my sv and I don't like them, wish I'd paid the extra couple of quid for my usual road attacks.
The SV's back squirms in the wet when going around roundabouts which it never did before.

Maybe the awesome power of the SV is too much?
I don't know but I never had an issue with the road attacks even when they were almost bald, put the maxxis on and I just don't feel quite as confident on it, when I'm going around a bend or roundabout (leaning but not stupidly so, just normally) I can feel the tyre sort of slipping then gripping, it's only for a millisecond and it's unsettling and I don't like it.
