Are there any symptoms  of a cam chain problem? If it ain't broke don't fix it! :scooter
If it hangs - pull it!

There's a slight rattle coming from the cam chain  more so on start from cold and she smokes a bit too but wen shes warm it's not bad but she's smelling rich too but it's not affecting power and im getting 40+ mpg which I'm told is good for these considering I thrash it everywhere ( I treat it like my bitch)
And it's due mot soon and I Want to be rite so I got it there as soon as the weathers rite

As it's a Honda it may have one of their tensioners that uses oil pressure to help the spring in the CCT so pressure would be low when cold but I am inclined to think it may just be a worn CCT as they tend to only last 25K or so. If it is fine when warm I would, if it was my own bike just leave it alone. It is highly unlikely you need a new cam chain at 31K. The earliest I have ever known one to snap was 45K. When the valves next get done measure the chain length.

:thumbsup :thumbsup it has a oil pressure cct and as posted by sickpup when cold they can  rattle
make sure you keep up with oil changes and if you want to there is a manual cct from ape engineering
i have used a few and are really good
