I havn't used the Tiger for over a week now, ignition barrel frozen internally so the mechanism wouldn't allow the key to go fully in, WD40 sorted that one out. got most of the security lock off all bar one. lock frozen solid cant even get the key in 1/3 of way.

so i have sprayed it with WD40 and i will leave it for a few hours. if this doesn't work any ideas. problen is, it is Thatcham approved. could i heat it up with a hot gun?

Think the Tiger might have been wet when I put it away

Will this method work on a woman  :scratch

Meths for frozen locks. WD40 for seized.

Then lots of WD40, then squirt of oil, the WD40 will help get the oil into those hard to reach places.

I've found out over the years that a bit of cheap masking tape stuck over the car door lock in very cold weather stops it freezing up because it keeps the moisture out.

Remote locking  :tup2

Hey anyone heard of a keyless-start for a bike? That would save so much hassle with biking gloves on!  :thumbsup

nice dry night last night roads were dry, so this mornings ride should be planned cold but dry. checked the road for ice around the streets where i live, so I got suited n booted in my bike gear went to my shed, nnnnooooo bloody shed locks frozen, key went in - no turn. never had this before so it must have been cold last night.
went back into house and stripped off, bugger I had to bring the car.

Think I'd better buy some de-icer. we possibly wont have ice after i buy the de-icer, its like the snow. I bought the kids snow-sledges, treated myself to a nice new snow-shovel, and bought a big bad of road salt, and no snow.
