After Market Can
« on: March 07, 2010, 01:44:39 AM »
Allo lads and ladies,

Well to tell the truth I felt a bit inferior today on the rideout... everyone had nice loud exhausts and mind sounded shit!   :rofl :rofl

So question:

a) Is it worth putting a can on me CBF?; and

b) Any tips and/or recommendations if I do?

Cheers <3

Definitely go for an aftermarket exhaust, I changed mine on the Fazer as the original was to quiet and "dull" sounding.

I went for the Scorpions from You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login, which sound superb, took the baffles out yesterday for the ride to work and sounded even better. And when you do don't forget he earplug's.

Cheers

Definately worth getting a can, no matter what bike it is.

Refer to Buzz's thread in bikers show and shine about his new toy. He mentions a company pjEngineering? that you can make your own can :thumbsup

Apparently all scorpion cans are made to order, so I gotta wait  around 4 weeks  :thumb_down

Didn't see that on the website anywhere  :scratch

dont buy a scorpion one buy an akrapovic or a remus that way you wont need to remap the fuelling as both those makes are designed to just be bolted on and work fine.

if you put a scorpion on you may find a flat spot appears or the bike feels fluffy. thats only a maybe .

but it works out cheaper to buy an akrapovic than to buy a scorpion and a power commander and dyno run.

i had a remus on my 03 r1 and twin akrapovic on the 05 R1 and an akrapovic on the 07 Fazer
