Arai Chaser (2009)

Helmet : Arai Chaser 09

Just got it about 3 weeks ago done a thousand or so miles in it.  LOVE IT
Makes every other helmet feel like a piece of uncomfortable crap.  I've had Shoeis, AGV's, and Nitros before now and the Arai is in a different league of comfort.  I will probably stick with Arai for the future now (if I can afford it!)

Cost £370 with free visor and other bits and bobs from You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

The good point is that Arai do the RX7GP in this colour scheme which is the top of the range helmet £589.99 OUCH! :eek
so people will think you're rich as well  :lol

It's a pleasure to wear.  If you're ever in Hein Gericke, pick up an Arai chaser and try it on, you won't be disappointed

Picked up an arai chaser in spike blue colour scheme. Fantastic lid. Bought for a bargain price of £179 at George White Swindon and included the pinlock insert (which is also fantastic). As many of above said its very comfortable and reasonably quiet.

Would recommend to anyone looking for a good lid, I use mine for everything including commuting and I'm really pleased with the quality.
Only downside is according to the sharp rating its only 3* out of 5 for safety. Why anyone would want to crash in it I don't know  :scratch, you'll scratch the graphics off   :rofl

that looks a brilliant deal!

I bought a Box lid last year for just £80 less .. it had a lump inside which turned out to be a big fat rubbery label .. on top of yer head! ... the pinlock inset, I had to whittle and adjust as it was too tight, bent, and so leaking... and then on my second ride the rain came in under the visor, trickling inside and I caught a chill from the draft that suddenly developed when the visor got a bit loose ..

It looks good and one day i will get round to adjusting the visor?? but i paid £100 for it!

Its great place for gear mate. They have three or four shops down there.
A main shop where they sell all the new season items for around rrp prices
A HUGE outlet where they sell all the gear which is out of season or just unsold. Plenty of Frank Thomas stuff in there for some reason  :scratch :rofl
Finally they have a little 'bargain' shop where they sell all of the odd sizes off for ridiculously low prices. Going to take the mrs down there when it warms up a bit to get her a new pair of trousers. They had some branded leather trousers there for around £40.  :thumbsup

I did wonder this, i guess what I'm getting at is they charged me 17.5% below the ticket price of £179. Was bought at that price just after Christmas in their 'explosive sale'.
