What boots brand is worth stocking?
« on: February 13, 2010, 11:25:14 PM »
As per the title we are yet undecided what road boots to stock in the shop in caerphilly so any ideas welcome.  We WONT be stocking Alpinestar boots because to do this would be financial suicide at this point as there initial order requirements are a total joke so any toher brand ideas welcome.  We have sold the italian forma range before and sold quite a few and the quality and build is really good but supply is tricky with them and fit is very narrow.  We are looking for a good range of boots that cover the majority of road riders needs, we can already supply most makes of off road boots and will eventually have a limited range of these as stock items but its the road range were nto 100% sure on at the moment.  We will probably have the Oxford boen dry boots and the wiesse range of boots but both of these are very limited so want a bigger range to complement these so ideas welcomed.

TCX are good boots and good value for money like J said  :cheers

Shame about alpinestars order numbers as I've had a couple of pairs (SMX and Supertech-R) and they've been faultless.

I've not heard good things about Arlen Ness boots though so they'd be ones to steer clear of

I have SPADA Slipstream boots. Very comfy, warm, stylish and best of all really good value for money.

I paid about £70 for mine and they've kept my feet dry and warm in the recent weather.

They look cool too.

Worn then nearly everyday for 8 months, very comfy, only leaked once on a commute from Swansea to Cardiff, one coat of water repelant and they were ready to go again. Had them for about £80 from JT's in Swansea  :thumbsup from me!

How about Daytonna's? I've always been a sidi and they did save my foot but the Daytonnas are just so comfy.
