Poxed up boots.
« on: February 23, 2010, 10:43:15 AM »
I bought a new pair of boots at Busters, after a few months they let in water although they were supposed to be waterproof,so i took them back and fair play they said to me pick another pair and pointed to the shelf where the boots were displayed,he did say,"them lot just come in" so after only 6 months the new exchange boots are disintegrating on the outside edge, were there is no stress,Are we getting shite clobber for mega bucks. :old

Are they rotting from the outside in, or the inside out..... :scratch

If it's the latter, get some odour eaters and get your home help to clean your feet properly....

Its a nightmare getting waterproof gear to maintains its integrity, i have taken so much stuff back and exchanged, funny thing is if an item of clothing advertises that it is waterproof, and it lets in water the stores have no arguement and usually exchange without any issues.

Sidi rain evos are the best I have ever used, they keep the rain out very well £90, I bought a pair of RICHA waterproof boots not long ago and they are brilliant not let in a drop yet.

only 50 quid too Bargain.

You got wide feet...I find that this happens to me with trainers, it's the way your feet and toes splay out when your walking.....it causes the material to stretch and break.....added to this the fact that feet sweat anyway and weakens it further as well as the road salt/crap etc.......

Never heard of it with Bike boots though TBH... :scratch
