What bike?
« on: November 03, 2011, 08:33:27 AM »
Hi all

Passed my MOD 2 on Saturday, as did my wife, and we are looking to buy a couple of bikes. I'm interested in either the Triumph Tiger 800, 800 XC or the BMW F800GS and ny wife is interested in the Tiger 800 or the BMW F650GS. We have test rides booked for the Saturday coming for all the bikes mentioned.

I would really appreciate any comments on the bikes mentioned.

Cheers

All very good and capable bikes and very very similar ,it all boils down to personal preference . I would try and get as much extra's as possible as your buying two bikes . Consider phoning different dealers around the country for price comparison

Thanks for the comments so far.

I'll be trying to get good deals, if we buy two bikes from the same dealer. Fingers crossed.

Mrs dallewed and I are really looking forward to meeting up on rides around Wales - we have so much to learn!!

Both of you try as many different bikes as you can ..what you think you want, may not be the best for you ..comfort/ride wise ect try lots   :thumbsup
Have fun,  and stay safe  :thumb_up
Bikes don't leak oil',.... they mark their territory :o)           Sometimes it takes a whole tankful of fuel before you can think straight. Growing old is manditory... but growing up...well that my friends...is OPTIONAL!

Hey, thanks for all the help and welcome to the group. We did consider the new Suzuki DL650 v-strom for me and the Suzuki 650 Bandit for Mrs Llewed, but we keep reverting back to the Tiger or the Beemer.

Pricey - 11.30 at Riders after an early morning at Bevans.

Can anyone recommend a good bike insurer. Ebike comes up as the best price on comparison sites, but the review of the broker are not so good.

Thanks again for all your help.

Either Triumph or BMW, both great quality bikes.

Did I mention I have Tigger 955i 2007 for sale?
