Long time listener, first time caller
« on: July 27, 2011, 08:26:15 PM »
Hi all,

Been a lurker on these forums for a while and now I've actually signed up I thought I'd better intoroduce myself.

So I'm Matt and I'm from Pontypool. I went from CBT to DAS in three weeks thanks to Nick and Darren at Bike Train Wales back in May. I'm currently riding a bog standard Suzuki SV650S K6.

I work for the Ambulance service in Bristol driving a big yellow box and for years avoided bikes due to some of the injuries I've seen but now I'm on a bike you can't get me off the thing.

Cheers
Matt

Bikes don't leak oil',.... they mark their territory :o)           Sometimes it takes a whole tankful of fuel before you can think straight. Growing old is manditory... but growing up...well that my friends...is OPTIONAL!

Thanks for the welcome.

RE the weight of an ambulance, depends what type of trucks it is. Some trusts use 3.5t van conversions so anyone can drive them but most trusts now use trucks that are over 3.5t (the ones my trust use are plated to 5t) so you need C1 on your licence to drive one.
