Hi all, another Cardiff rider...
« on: April 13, 2011, 02:09:14 PM »
Hi everyone,

I've been loitering foor a good while so thought it was about time I joined up. I live in North Cardiff and ride a white 2010 VFR800.

Ray at SWSB told me about the ride out next Sunday. I've been wanting to find some ride out buddies and though it should be a good opportunity to meet a few new people.

Look forward to meeting/chatting to a few of you :)

Afternoon  :thumb_up
Bikes don't leak oil',.... they mark their territory :o)           Sometimes it takes a whole tankful of fuel before you can think straight. Growing old is manditory... but growing up...well that my friends...is OPTIONAL!

Hey, thanks for the welcomes guys & gals! :)

Pope, no I haven't got a fancy button gearbox, it's the 800 so not an option. Not sure I'd want it anyway, I like levers that clunk!

Hi BadHarry,

They're lovely aren't they, had mine for nearly a year now and still loving it. Love the sound of the V4 and although it's a heavy bike I think it gets through the twisty bits a treat (I have tweaked my suspension a bit tho). Thought about chopping it in for a litre bike at one point but just can't separate with it :)

it does look very nice with the white wheels  :tup2

I hate them though, as I once had a go on Philevans' VFR800 V-Tec and pulled my shoulder out of the socket trying to wheelie it  :censored

Stupid comfortable riding position was to blame  :weed

Haha,

you must've been doing something wrong!  :tt

Wheelies are no problem without having to yank at the bars, a quick off and on of the throttle around 7-8000rpm and up she goes  :tup2

Not that I'd ever condone such hooliganism  :devil

The stupid comfortable riding position is a must for me with a 36" inside leg :(
