Hello, I'm a newbie rider chic from London
« on: August 04, 2011, 11:52:51 AM »

I've been on the fence about riding for ages, always hearing that it's super dangerous etc.

But then I got too fed up with traffic in London and the fact that I was spending so much money on petrol and public transport.

What really tipped me was my friend (also a rider) who shared this forum with me. He also sent me this amazing [INFOGRAPHIC] (see link below) that shows the benefits of riding. These two things combined made me hop on a bike! Check it out, hopefully you too will love it! Feel free to pass along...

And finally, here is a shout out to all my new, fellow motorcycle riders. I’m looking forward to sharing the road with you!

Yey for motorbikes!

Hi Poppy,

Welcome to biking and to Welshbikers. I was in London last weekend at the Emirates stadium watching Arsenal!

Plenty of bikes down there that's for sure.

 Ride safe and enjoy!!  :scooter
If it hangs - pull it!

Bikes don't leak oil',.... they mark their territory :o)           Sometimes it takes a whole tankful of fuel before you can think straight. Growing old is manditory... but growing up...well that my friends...is OPTIONAL!

Worked in South London for 5 years...had fun filtering through traffic...

"The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, who's face is marred by dust & sweat & blood; who strives valiantly...... & who at the worst, if he falls, at least falls while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold & timid"

Welcome.
Yes, everyone else maybe melting to death on the roads but not us! Because we have a car with hair conditioner! I mean what in the name of sanity did they think we want it for? To make sure that the roof rack is more shiny and managable?
