I may well get leather's made to measure - especailly a lovely little one piece! But I've found trying a large top and small bottoms they don't zip together.  I've got a couple of pieces, but they get quite uncomfortable on long journeys  :thumb_down

Chamz - Not a fan of ebay - to me it's just an internet version of a car boot and I've never understood them - why buy second hand when you can by new just save up a little longer if you have to!!!

Its the NEC bike show in a few weeks, there'll be hundreds of stalls there where you can try on a whole range of gear! And you might just nab yourself a bargain!

Got to disagree with you there hun, not eveything is second hand, just cheaper - I paid top dollar for my alpinestars leathers and boots in Hein Gerricke a couple years back, but now know I could have got them cheaper on e-bay if I was into e-bay back then....These days ebay's my first port of call, from bike bits, bike clothes, Pc stuff and ratty things (the latest a rat tent  :clap ) Don't get me wrong, there's a lot of crap on there too, but as long as you know what you're looking for, you're ok  :clap

I agree with Chamz, i think anyone who says ebay is a car boot sale is stuck up their own arse to be honest as there are lots of shop swho sell on there

You'd have to be an idiot and probably a BULLSHITTER to write that

Ebay's not for everyone - I've never bought off it but plenty of people I know have and been ripped off.

Pope - as the whole point of this thread is because I find it difficult to buy leathers to fit, I'm hardly going to spend money on something that I've not seen am I?? Surely common sense would prevail and make you GO TO A SHOP AND TRY THINGS ON!!!!!!

If you are happy using Ebay that's up to you.  I hardly see how because I prefer to go into a shop, look around, touch and feel something before I buy it makes me a bullshitter.

I suggest you refrain from generalising in your posts seeing as you know nothing of me.  I have enough money to not have to scrimp and save and hope that the person I'm buying from isn't a chancer and that I'll have little to no chance of getting my money back if it's a dud.

You stick to ebay - I'll stick to retail.

seems a bit harsh the comments on here, i've had both sides on ebay, been ripped off on fake goods, be ripped off by non paying buyers, had one guy sting me for 300 quid with no recourse from feckin paypal, but i've also had lots of batgains on bits n pieces and tools and especially kids clothes.

if i had the money i would buy new, infact i have both my bike boots were bought from the nec at the best price on the day. need a new lid next, but i hope to get that at the nec if i make it this year

Looking for set of leathers myself and seen some on EBay but not sure if I'd go for them or not.  Have to go by the motto, "If they are cheap, its for a reason."  Each unto their own.  I'd  prefer to try them on first but if you know what your looking for them go to the shop, try them, buy them online.

As for the baby oil quote, can I help.   :drool
